Your photo isn’t saved
We use it to run your search and don’t store it on our servers.
A face memory, not your photo
A numeric face template helps repeat searches. It isn’t linked to your account, and we remove a face on request.
Not for training
We don’t train any model on your photos, and we’ve opted out of our cloud provider using them.
Nobody is told
The person in the photo is never notified that you searched.

Who can I search?+
Yourself, or someone who agreed to it, for a lawful reason. You confirm this before every search, and you must be 18 or older. Don’t search children.
Where does Wherely look?+
Only pages anyone can see: public social profiles and public web pages. No private accounts, no messages.
Are the results certain?+
No. They are possible matches, sorted by how close they look — not a confirmed identity. Always check before you rely on one.
How do plans work?+
Weekly 5 and Weekly 10 give you 5 or 10 searches a week, renewing weekly through the App Store or Google Play until you cancel there. If our face search partner can’t answer, the search is given back.
I’m in someone’s results. Can I be removed?+
Yes, without an account. See “Remove my face” — we delete your face template, fingerprints and the results linked to them within 30 days.
